No need to register, just bring your kids at the designated time for each event and they can be part of it for free!

The Benny Mayhem Band is excited to introduce a new concept to WA Music and Events. One of the big challenges facing WA communities, both metro and regional, is how to put on an event outside of the usual musicalvenues to attract local audiences and vendors without massivehire costs for PA, Rigging, Crew etc.

There are also very few music career programs for young musicians outside of their schools, if at all, particularly in Regional WA.

We believe we have solved both of those problems at the same time because we would like to introduce to you … THE MONSTER MUSIC TRUCK and Youth Music Workshops.

As you can see above, this is a custom made truck with a Full Concert Sound System, Light and Video Show that can be put ANYWHERE regardless of A/C power availability. The Benny Mayhem Band has exclusive use of this mobile concert system and has produced a day-long event far beyond a normal concert for the whole community. It includes a Youth Music Workshop, a 3 Hour Concert, a Touring Musician’s Lecture in the afternoon and more!

The Monster Music Truck can be used to create an all-day event for the whole family. Involve local vendors, food trucks and more, then at 5pm they can stay for the 3 hour Community Concert.

Youth Music Workshops

From 2pm the band will run a 90 minute Youth Workshop integrated into the concert system that can be tailored to your local requirements and is free to attend.

Kids and Teenagers will get to play instruments set up on the stage and around the area in front of the truck. Drums, Bass, Guitar and Vocals will all be part of the experience, with members of the Benny Mayhem Band offering one-on-one instruction for each instrument.

These instruments will be “live” so they can get the real experience of playing on stage and the feeling of what it would be like. The band have completed these workshops for more than 10% of all WA local government bodies and can give you real world examples of how locals have benefited.

Please note that kids who attend do not need ANY musical experience at all. The object is to inspire them and show them how they can have a path to a professional music career from their hometown or even their bedroom.

• Learn about the steps you can take for your own music career
• Learn how to record cheaply at home and still make world-class music
• Learn better singing techniques

The Program’s Success

For the past 18 months, the band has been running Youth Music Programs from Albany to Onslow to Yalgoo to Karratha with great success.

The events for the City of Karratha saw over 50 young people attend from all walks of life. There was almost no way they could have had this experience without the Benny Mayhem and his Monster Music Truck.

Many of the students have taken inspiration and advice for these workshops to kick-start their careers already. You could be next!

3 Hour Concert

The Benny Mayhem Band’s Concert Show is performed on the Monster Music Truck, usually from 5pm to 8pm with a 15 minute intermission in the middle.

The band plays from its own original music catalogue, along with covers from some of the world’s best artists including Oasis, Nirvana, Grinspoon, Johnny Cash, The Ramones, Crowded House and tons of your favourites from Oz, The UK and The US.

The Benny Mayhem Band are popular all over regional WA due to a relentless touring schedule taking them to almost every corner of the state. Their new double album “Bootlegs” is out now and the recording process will be part of each workshop

During the concert, local vendors are able to park nearby to take advantage of the gatherings and it’s a great experience for all involved.

Usually 30 minutes before the Youth Workshop, the band holds an additional 30 minute All-Ages session for locals where they unlock the secrets to becoming a touring musician based from your own hometown.

Benny Mayhem has spent more than 10 years touring dozens of countries around the world playing his own music and is regularly engaged by TAFE to provide this lecture to their music students.
